A favorite Autumn poem...

Autumn Song
These are days of failling leaves,
The days of hazy weather,
Smelling of gold chrysanthemums
And gray wood-smoke together.
These are the nights of nearby stars,
The nights of closer moons,
When the windy darkness echoes
To crickets' farewell tunes.
(Elizabeth-Ellen Long)

When I was a teen I had this poem pretty well memorized, if I remember correctly. It described autumn so deliciously! After marrying and going off to a tropical country for so long I could barely remember any of it except the "crickets' farewell tunes" part. So I turned to Google and yay!~ Here we are! Enjoy!
